Whilst it’s possible to spend at least two weeks exploring Jordan, I’ve discovered this wonderful country can be experienced by the savvy traveller short on time.

Friday: After an evening arrival at Amman a thirty minute transfer takes you to the beach! Yes! The Jordan Valley Dead Sea resort where a number of smart hotels have been developed offering the opportunity to unwind in unique surroundings.

Saturday: Enjoy Jordan Valley, float in the mineral rich Dead Sea lying 400 metres below sea level or enjoy an array of spa treatments using Dead Sea minerals.

Sunday: After a day of relaxation take the scenic Kings Highway for a full day tour to Petra. Jordan’s most valuable treasure the ‘Rose Red’ city of Petra is now a Unesco World Heritage site. Comfortable walking shoes required or take a horse drawn carriage. En route stop at Madaba the ‘City of Mosaics’. Overnight Jordan Valley.

JordanMonday: Journeying to Amman visit Mount Nebo the holy site where Moses is believed to be buried. From the top of this biblical mountain you can see Jericho and Jerusalem. Onwards to Amman for a guided city tour including the Citadel with its Roman Theatre and the Temple of Hercules. Keep time to visit the gold and silver downtown area for retail therapy! Finally, enjoy dinner in one of the many local restaurants and experience traditional Jordanian cuisine. Overnight Amman.

Tuesday: Morning transfer and return flight to the UK.

4 star packages from £850 per person sharing.
